Frequently Asked Questions

  • Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) is a global organization with a thriving 110+ member Sacramento Chapter. EO exists to support and educate entrepreneurs via small groups (called forums), chapter learning and social events, and regional/global travel and educational opportunities.

  • What sets EO Sacramento apart is its exclusive focus on founders and owners, rather than paid CEOs or other C-level executives. The chapter also offers exceptional value, providing a wealth of opportunities and resources at a cost that delivers incredible return on investment. Lastly, EO Sacramento stands out as a tight-knit community of over one hundred ten members who genuinely support one another. It’s more than just an organization—it’s a family of entrepreneurs committed to mutual success.

  • EO Sacramento supports its members by offering invaluable opportunities to connect and learn. We believe we are stronger together, and everything we do is about supporting, building up and enriching our members.

  • A forum is a small, confidential group of 8-12 EO members who meet monthly to share and support one another. Over 95% of members join forums, which are consistently rated as the most valuable part of EO membership. Participation includes an all-day training session to ensure a meaningful experience.

  • A forum retreat is an annual gathering where members deepen connections and strengthen their group dynamic. Retreats range from weekend getaways to week-long trips, often featuring a "Once in a Lifetime" (OIL) experience.

  • Members typically commit 4-6 hours monthly for forum meetings, 2-5 days annually for a forum retreat, and 1 day per year for the mandatory All-Chapter Forum. Optional chapter events are about 1 day or evening per month. Additional involvement in regional or global events is up to each member.

  • Confidentiality is a cornerstone of EO, enabling members to share openly and honestly. "Forum confidentiality" is held in the highest regard, and any violation of this principle results in immediate termination of membership.

Similarly, confidentiality extends to EO’s social channels, such as the chapter WhatsApp group, and to discussions within the chapter board. These standards ensure trust and transparency across all EO interactions.

  • EO Sacramento typically hosts one chapter event per month, though some months may feature additional opportunities. Events are a mix of learning experiences, social gatherings, and "once-in-a-lifetime" (OIL) opportunities.

Additionally, the Accelerator Program offers four quarterly Learning Days focusing on Cash, Strategy, People, and Execution. Led by an EO Facilitator and grounded in the Scaling Up Method, these sessions are a great way to work on your business rather than in it.

  • There is an assortment of ways to connect with other chapter, regional, national and global EO members. These include:

    • Joining a forum

    • Attend EO Sacramento Events

    • Join our chapter WhatsApp group

    • Attend regional and global events

    • Join EO Connect

    • MyEO events (Events championed by EO members but not formal “EO” events.)

  • Spouses/Life-Partners (SLPs) are a vital part of an entrepreneur's journey, and EO recognizes their importance. SLPs are invited to various events throughout the year, including both learning and social opportunities. Event notifications clearly specify whether SLPs are included, ensuring clarity. EO values SLP engagement and prioritizes their involvement whenever possible.

  • EO Sacramento primarily welcomes founders and owners of businesses generating over one million dollars in gross annual revenue. While the chapter bylaws accommodate founders of venture-backed companies, different requirements may apply. Additionally, those in commission-based businesses must generate over one million dollars in annual commissions and have a minimum number of employees. EO Sacramento is not designed for commission-based sole operators, but it’s an exceptional community for growth-minded entrepreneurs ready to connect, learn, and thrive.

  • EO Sacramento offers a supportive community of entrepreneurs and access to a confidential forum for life-changing insights. Members also enjoy regional and global learning opportunities, including "once-in-a-lifetime" (OIL) events like visits to Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island or advanced business programs at Wharton and London Business School.

  • Joining EO Sacramento involves a few financial components:

    1. One-time Initiation Fee: Upon joining, this fee goes towards proper onboarding and orientation of new members. ($4,400/one time, $1,000 of which is returned to you for use towards your first regional or global travel/education event.)

    2. Annual Chapter Dues: These support the chapter's events, activities, and administrative needs, ensuring a vibrant local community. ($2,931/year)

    3. Annual Global Dues: These fund the global organization and its leadership structure, connecting members to a worldwide network of resources and opportunities. ($2,630/year)

    4. Annual Forum-Related Expenses: This includes costs for your annual forum retreat and hosting responsibilities within your forum. ($1,000-3,000/year)

While the financial commitment varies based on these factors, the value delivered through unparalleled connections, events, and experiences makes it a worthwhile investment for growth-focused entrepreneurs.

  • EO Sacramento hosts 10-12 events annually, including celebrations like the holiday party, expert panels, and family-focused gatherings. Events are held on weekdays, weeknights, or weekends to suit members' schedules. While all other events are optional, the annual All-Chapter Forum Meeting in May is mandatory. Events aim to inspire, educate, and connect members.

  • Joining EO Sacramento starts with filling out the interest form on our website. A Membership Committee member will then contact you to discuss your business and goals. Next, you'll attend an event or meet current members to experience EO firsthand.
