Kick off 2023 with us as we check out one of our members' new wellness business and learn about an exciting wellness technique called the Wim Hof Method.

 

Who / What is Wim Hof?

Wim Hof is a Dutch extreme athlete who got his nickname 'The Iceman' by breaking a number of records related to cold exposure including: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in shorts, running a half marathon above the Arctic Circle barefoot, and standing in a container while covered with ice cubes for more than 112 minutes.

 

He has become a widely respected and well known master of breath and cold water therapy, which he has used to change his life, heal from trauma and strengthen his mind and body.

What can I expect at this event?

 

9:30 AM 

OPTIONAL Wam Slow Flow Yoga Class (1 hour)  BYO Yoga Mat, Yoga Towel & Water

 

10:30 AM 

Formal Event Check-In & Event Start

 

10:40 AM - 12:30 PM

To start this session you’ll learn from a certified Wim Hof instructor about the Wim Hof breathing method and some meditation. 

 You’ll have access to the sauna and 15 minute massages prior to your cold plunge where you’ll put your new breath work tools to use! 

 We’ll have B12 Shots, Tea Snacks, Cru 100% Cacao Drinking Chocolate, and Lunch available as well.

OPTIONAL Hot Power Vinyasa Yoga Class (1 hour) BYO Yoga Mat, Yoga Towel & Water

 

What should I wear & bring?

  • Wear your swimsuit (or whatever you’ll plunge in).

  • Bring a towel and a warm change of clothes.

  • Bring a yoga mat, yoga towel, and water if you choose to attend a yoga class.
